1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Fork & Friends (“the Platform”), operated by Fork & Friends (“we”, “our”, or “us”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use the Platform.

2. Description of Service

Fork & Friends is a neighbourhood-based community platform that helps people form real-world connections and reduce food waste. Our services include:

  • Proximity-based introductions with nearby neighbours who share similar interests.
  • Discovery and redemption of surplus food vouchers from participating local businesses.
  • Family Mode features for supervised participation by minors.
  • Tools for local businesses to list surplus food items and connect with the community.

Fork & Friends is not a dating platform. The Platform is designed for platonic, community-oriented connections only.

3. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account independently.
  • Users aged 13–17 may only participate through the Family Mode feature with verified parental or guardian consent.
  • Users under 13 are not permitted to use the Platform.
  • By registering, you represent that the information you provide is accurate and complete.

4. User Accounts

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

5. Community Guidelines

When using Fork & Friends, you agree not to:

  • Use the Platform for dating, romantic solicitation, or any non-platonic purpose.
  • Harass, bully, threaten, or intimidate other users.
  • Share false, misleading, or deceptive information.
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity.
  • Use the Platform for commercial advertising or spam without authorisation.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' accounts or data.
  • Post content that is illegal, harmful, or violates the rights of others.

Violations of these guidelines may result in warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent removal from the Platform at our sole discretion.

6. Vouchers & Business Listings

6.1 For Users

  • Vouchers are subject to availability and may be limited in quantity.
  • Vouchers must be redeemed at the participating business within the specified validity period.
  • Vouchers are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
  • We do not guarantee the quality, safety, or availability of items offered through vouchers.

6.2 For Businesses

  • Businesses are responsible for the accuracy of their listings, including item descriptions, quantities, and expiry times.
  • A 10% administrative fee applies to each successfully redeemed voucher.
  • Businesses must comply with all applicable food safety regulations and local laws.
  • We reserve the right to remove listings that violate our guidelines or applicable laws.

7. Privacy

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, and software, is the property of Fork & Friends or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any content without our express written permission.

9. Disclaimers

  • The Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind.
  • We do not guarantee that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure at all times.
  • We are not responsible for the conduct of any user, whether online or offline.
  • We do not endorse or guarantee the quality of any food items listed by participating businesses.
  • Any connections or interactions made through the Platform are at your own risk.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fork & Friends shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Platform, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Fork & Friends, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Platform or your violation of these Terms.

12. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the Platform or via email. Your continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
